4700 Total Station (** NOTE: No longer manufactured but available for rental and support).
This system incorporates four major components: the 4700 GPS receiver with an integrated
radio modem, separate GPS and radio antennae, the rugged System Controller
(TSC1) data collector with Survey Controller software, and
easy-to-use Trimble Survey Office software.
At the heart of the GPS Total Station 4700 is a small,
highly-integrated GPS receiver and radio modem. Weighing only 2.7 pounds
(1.2. kilograms), the receiver can be carried in a backpack or hip pack.
The 4700 receiver utilizes the latest in Trimble dual-frequency, real-time
technology. Users can get centimeter accuracy and receive position updates
five times per second while moving.
The 4700 components allow seamless data flow. Data
can be collected and verified for accuracy with the TSC1 data collector in
the field. Back in the office the TSC1 connects, either directly or via PC
cards, to a desktop computer and transfers the field data into Survey Office
software for processing. Data designs can be created and transferred back
to the TSC1, and the GPS Total Station 4700 will guide the user back to the
site to stake out the design. |

| 5800 Total Station L1/L2 Static/Fast Static/RTK The revolutionary integrated 5800 GPS receiver combines a dual-frequency GPS receiver, antenna, UHF radio, and power source into a single compact unit that fits in the palm of your hand and weighs in at just 1.21 kilograms (2.67 pounds).
Designed to be used with the ACU™ Controller or TSCe™ Controller, the 5800 makes cables a thing of the past—you can now control your surveys using the built in short-range Bluetooth wireless technology. This truly cable free GPS rover comprising the pole, ACU controller, holder, and batteries for a full day's work weighs only 3.5 kilograms (7.8 pounds).
With the Trimble 5800 GPS system, versatility is redefined – it can be configured as a rover or GPS base, making it versatile to meet the changing needs of surveyor's projects. Further, it includes 2MB of internal memory for postprocessing, as well as being fully RTK capable.
The 5800 works with certain Bluetooth cell phones, which allows for a completely cable-free RTK rover. Additionally support for the use of General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) available on many GSM networks world-wide, allows for significantly more cost-effective data transfer in the field, where you are charged based on the amount of data transferred, instead of the amount of time spent online.
